Payment

  • Payment is due on the day of your appointment. I accept all major credit cards (especially your husbands), cash, cashapp and venmo.

Appointment Times

  • Please arrive no more than 10 mins before your appointment time, and be no more than 20 mins late. If you do happen to be running late, give me a call and let me know. If it gets too late, I may no longer have the time to complete the appointment, and the full price will still be due.

  • Please arrive within 20 mins of the agreed upon pick-up time to collect your dog. Anything outside of these time frames is classed as daycare and as we do not offer daycare, it will incur a significant fee to discourage it from happening. Please note that since we are kennel free, we do not have a place to keep dogs beyond their appointment. We are a full time salon, so there will be dogs scheduled after your own and I cannot let dogs make contact with each other.

Cancellations & no shows

  • I require MORE than 48 hours notice of any cancellation or rescheduling, if you don’t show up I don’t get paid and mama’s gotta pay her bills somehow!

  • If you reschedule/cancel/or no show frequently, you may be required to pre-pay for your appointments.

Please take your pooch potty

  • Please be sure to take your dog potty before your appointment. Feel free to take them around my front yard, and if you forget a poo bag feel free to ask me for one.

Matting

  • If a dog has knots that are extensive across the body and/or legs, the dog may need to be shaved to get them off. I will brush/thin/spot shave if possible, but if the matting too extensive it will need to be short all over. I will always keep it as long as possible, and I will always attempt to notice and discuss this with you directly at check-in. If it isn’t found until after you’ve left, I will attempt to contact you. If I cannot get ahold of you within 20 minutes I will proceed in the best interest of the dog and will chat to you about it at pick-up.

  • Please be aware that heavily matted coats can hide many underlying conditions, including. but not limited to: rashes, wounds, abscesses, thorns and parasites. These pre-existing conditions are exposed by the shaving process (not caused by it) and a dog with heavy matting may require additional veterinary attention to treat these conditions once they are uncovered.  Also, in the case of dogs with thick matting removed from the ears, it is not uncommon for the pet to shake the head so aggressively as to cause the formation of hematomas (bleeding bruises) at the edges of the ear flaps. This is a result of the matting being left on the ears and restricting blood flow, and not the fault of the grooming process.

Fleas

  • All dogs coming into the salon MUST be on a flea and tick preventative!

  • If live fleas are found on your dog at the time of grooming, you will be notified and you will need to pick up your dog as soon as possible. The salon will be given a deep clean and flea bomb to kill any left in the environment. This will incur an extra fee and you must pay for the full appointment.

Vaccines

  • It is highly recommended that your dog is up to date on all vaccinations, however the only vaccine we require is rabies. Please bring the most updated rabies vaccine certificate (or just a picture) with you at your first visit, unless it has been sent in before the appointment.

The Redo Policy

  • If you’re unhappy with the groom I gave your dog, please contact me within 48 hours! I can try to fix it up for free within that time-frame, but beyond 48 hours your dog will need to be rewashed and this will require added fees. Please note that this does not apply to sessions that resorted to training (see below)

  • Please let me know immediately if you observe any behavioral or physical problems with your dog after your grooming appointment. I cannot take responsibility for problems I don’t know about or that occur some time after the appointment is over.  If you think you need to take your dog to the vet, please contact me as soon as possible.

    Training/incomplete grooms

  • In the event that your dog is struggling with the grooming process for any reason, I may need to switch to focus on training and conditioning your dog to the grooming process. I will not force a dog in to a freak-out just for a haircut, so this may mean the actual groom is unable to be completed this time. The full appointment time will still be spent with your dog and so the full price will still be due.

Photos & videos

  • I will take photos and videos of your dog/s and I reserve the right to use these for promotional and marketing purposes on my website, social media, or other advertising material. If you have concerns about the use of this media please let me know, I will not post pictures of your dog if you are uncomfortable with it for any reason.

Emergencies

  • In case of a medical emergency, you give full authorization for me to seek medical care for your dog at your expense.  We will attempt to use your own Veterinarian, but in cases of urgency, we will use the vet we are closest to.
